AnyDVD works in the background to automatically remove the copy protection of a DVD movie as soon as it is inserted into the drive, allowing you to backup your movies using a DVD backup tool such as CloneDVD. AnyDVD is also capable of removing the RPC region code, thereby making the movie region free and viewable on any DVD player or with any DVD player software. AnyDVD not only decrypts DVDs but is also capable of decrypting protected audio CDs. But decryption is not all that AnyDVD offers. With AnyDVD you can control the drive speed of your DVD drive, allowing you to slow your DVD drive read speed to reduce the noise level when watching movies on your PC. AnyDVD is an excellent compliment to Home Theatre PCs as it prevents ?PC-friendly? software from automatically launching when inserting video DVDs. You can also launch an external program on insertion and removal of a disc. AnyDVD lets you adjust the display frequency of your monitor, for example from 60 Hz to 72 Hz for NTSC and from 50 Hz to 75 Hz for PAL. AnyDVD is also capable of removing unwanted user prohibition messages, for example forced subtitles, copyright messages and FBI warnings.
